In her current release, The "Updated Version", she mainly focuses on fashion but has also included a new section on buying original Chinese antiques. First time author and Hong Kong resident Ellen McNally says her motivation for writing the book was to make a shopping spree to Shenzhen, a short 40-minute train ride from Hong Kong, a fun and pain free experience. "Tourists and local residents alike have so little time to shop that they want to make their experience efficient and get value for their money.
I want to make it easy for them and give them a comfort level even before they cross the border into China," McNally explains.The first edition was snapped up by English speaking Hong Kong shoppers eager to find bargains in the world's newest shopping Mecca.
